Huntington North student Addison Wiley continued her excellence on the track over the weekend, competing in the National Scholastic Athletic Foundation (NSAF)’s Meet of Champions in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, against other high school runners from across the country.

Huntington North High School has begun working toward building a new multi-purpose outdoor athletic facility. The facility will host the Vikings’ football, boys and girls soccer and boys and girls track and field teams and will also be used by Huntington North’s band, JROTC and physical education classes.

Horace Mann Elementary fourth grade teacher Macy Phillips was recently named as a winner of the Teachers Are Heroes contest held by 97.3 WMEE and K105 radio stations in Ft. Wayne.

HCCSC and the Huntington County Community Learning Center put shovel to dirt on Thursday, commemorating the official beginning of the Learning Center’s expansion project with a groundbreaking ceremony.

The 2020–21 season came to a close for the Huntington North boys basketball team on Tuesday night, as the Vikings fell 62–37 to No. 1 Homestead in the Columbia City Sectional Quarterfinals.
