HCCSC and Huntington North High School received a generous sponsorship donation from Kimmel Financial on Monday, with the funds going toward Huntington North athletics facility upgrades.
The sponsorship donation, which will fund two new LED scoring tables inside North Arena and two new medical/water carts at Huntington North’s new multi-purpose outdoor facility, was accepted by Superintendent Chad Daugherty and Huntington North Athletic Director Jeremy Markham.
“The Huntington North athletic department would like to thank Mr. Kimmel and Kimmel Financial for the generous donation,” Markham said. “We are extremely honored to continue to serve our student athletes, coaches and community with such donations. These donations provide for first-class experiences and facilities, while providing another learning platform for our student-athletes.”
Kimmel Financial Services Owner and Financial Advisor Seth Kimmel, who presented the sponsorship donation to Daugherty and Markham, noted his pleasure to assist with the upgrades.
“It is important to me to invest in our schools,” Kimmel said. “As a Huntington native and as a product of HCCSC, I have been blessed to have an amazing career right here in Huntington. I try to always remember that ‘to whom much is given, much is required.’ As this community has greatly supported my business and family, I have a responsibility to give back whenever possible. … Mr. Daugherty and Mr. Markham were incredibly responsive and engaged as soon as I knew I wanted to help. I love to partner with excellence, and that is what I have seen from HCCSC. That’s why this gift is happening today.”
As part of the sponsorship donation, Kimmel Financial Services will have their name and logo displayed on the new LED scoring tables and medical/water carts. The advertising agreement features a seven-year term and grants Kimmel Financial Services as the primary and sole sponsor/advertiser for the new LED scoring tables and medical/water carts.
Kimmel has donated to a number of facility upgrades throughout HCCSC in recent years and believes the investment is well worth it in order to provide the best opportunities possible for Huntington’s next generation.
“I have been very impressed with the updates the school corporation has enacted in our facilities over the past several years,” Kimmel said. “Whether it was updating North Arena, building a new Roanoke Elementary School, expanding the Huntington County Community Learning Center or investing in a new multi-purpose stadium, our school‘s leadership has done a great job in trying to maintain top-notch environments for our students. These are absolutely key developments as we continue to compete for students and strive for leadership in education in Northeast Indiana.”
