SUN - Summer Nutrition Programs for Kids

SUN Summer Meals Program

When school is out for summer, millions of kids lose access to the USDA’s school breakfast and lunch programs, putting them at higher risk of hunger and making it harder to get the nutrition they need to learn and grow.

Now, the USDA has new, flexible strategies for providing children with food and nutrition support during the summer.
This enhanced suite of tools is called SUN Programs: USDA’s Summer Nutrition Programs for Kids.
