Resident Experts

Resident Experts is HCCS's annual summer professional development event, where our educators share their knowledge and skills with colleagues. Sessions cover a wide range of topics and are designed to support our mission of serving every student, every day.

The event is held each summer at Huntington North High School. Specific dates are announced in the spring.

All HCCS educators are encouraged to attend!

Each session runs for 45 minutes, allowing participants to attend multiple sessions throughout the day.

Absolutely! We encourage all HCCS educators to share their expertise.

Session topics vary widely based on the expertise of our presenters, ranging from instructional strategies and technology integration to classroom management and student support services.

The name reflects our belief that the best professional development comes from the talented educators already working within our district—our own resident experts.

All teachers in attendance will earn professional growth points!  Teachers will receive an official certificate upon dismissal of the event to show proof of completion.
