Mental Health
Huntington County Schools prioritizes the mental health of our students. We know when a student is struggling with grades, attendance or behavior it may be a sign that they are also struggling with their mental health. It is important that no student or family feels alone. The mental health community in Huntington supports the school system and wants our students to be at their best academically so they can succeed. Meeting with a counselor outside of school is always an option. Huntington Schools partners with the Bowen Center, Renovate Counseling, and Blue River Counseling. Talk to your school counselor or contact our Director of Behavioral Health and Wellness, Meg Friesen, to discuss mental health and the available programs we have to support your student. Meg Friesen can be reached at 260.356.6104 ext 1006.
