Huntington, IN - At the December 16th Public School Board Meeting, Huntington County Community Schools (HCCS) proudly introduced Austin Bullock as its newest School Resource Officer (SRO). Sheriff Chris Newton presented Bullock to the board, highlighting his experience and dedication to safety. Bullock, a Huntington North graduate, will begin his new role on January 5, 2025, stationed at Huntington North High School and the Learning Center.
Superintendent John Trout acknowledged the collaborative effort among law enforcement, local government, and the school board to enhance school safety over the past three years. Bullock expressed gratitude, stating, “It’s an honor to return to the schools I once walked as a student. I look forward to serving this community and ensuring the safety of our students and staff.”
